About

CogniSphere is a small, independent project. It does one thing: let you ask questions about the page you are already reading.

Most AI reading tools want to be a platform — an account, a workspace, a place to upload your documents, a subscription that meters your usage. We did not want to build that, and we suspect you did not want to use it.

So CogniSphere has no AI service of its own. You bring an API key from a provider you already trust — or, on Chrome 138+, use the browser's built-in on-device AI and skip the key entirely — and the extension talks to that model straight from your browser. Your key, the pages you read, and the questions you ask never reach our servers. There is nothing for us to leak, sell, or lose.

That design has a consequence we are upfront about: there is not much to charge for. Every feature is free. The Pro plans on the pricing page buy account sync and fund the work — they do not unlock capabilities, and we would rather say so than invent a paywall.

What we are working on

More selection actions, broader on-device language support as Chrome adds it, and Firefox distribution. If something is broken or missing, tell us — the roadmap is mostly whatever people ask for twice.
