Terms of Service

CogniSphere is a browser extension that reads the page you are viewing and sends it, with your question, to an AI provider of your choosing.

We do not provide the AI service. You supply an API key for a third-party provider — Google Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenRouter — or point the extension at a model running locally through Ollama. Your relationship with that provider, including their terms and their charges, is separate from these terms.

An account is optional; the extension works without one. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, attempt to breach its security, or use it unlawfully.

All CogniSphere features are available at no cost on the free plan. Pro does not unlock additional analysis capabilities. It provides account-level benefits and funds continued development:

• Account sync across devices
• Priority email support
• Early access to new releases
• A supporter badge in the extension panel

Pro does not include AI usage credits. Your provider bills you directly for tokens consumed. Current prices are on the pricing page.

Payments are processed securely through our payment provider. We never receive or store your card details.

• Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until cancelled.
• Lifetime purchases are a single payment and never renew.
• Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
• Prices may change with notice; changes do not affect a period you have already paid for, and never affect lifetime purchases.

Refunds are governed by our refund policy.

You agree not to:

• Use CogniSphere to break the law or infringe others' rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account
• Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service except as permitted by its licence
• Use it in a way that violates your AI provider's own terms

AI-generated answers can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial, or other consequential decisions without independent verification. You are responsible for how you use the output, and the content of pages you analyse remains subject to their own copyright and terms.

The website and account services are provided as-is, without a guaranteed uptime commitment. We may modify or discontinue features. If we discontinue a paid plan outright, we will refund the unused portion. Note that the extension's core function depends on your AI provider, whose availability is outside our control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CogniSphere is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email to account holders and reflected in the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms. Questions go to support@cognisphere.me.
